Test everything with the Bible. Jeremiah was very honest with the Lord in prayer. Chastening is a mark of love from a caring Father. Destruction of the temples and the promise for the third temple to be constructed for abomination of desolation.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Job chapter 5 verses 8 and 9

The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me — A prayer to the God of my life.

Psalm 42 verse 8.

He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken.

Isaiah 25 verse 8.

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

Psalm 32 verse 7.

Mark chapter 10 verses 44 and 45

Jeremiah Week 1 Day 2. This walk is not about popularity. It’s about obedience to the Lord in complete trust. We learned that there are often unpleasant consequences for the obedient. Jeremiah was bringing an unwelcome message to Judah: surrender. Jeremiah was tossed into a muddy cistern and left to die. The Lord sent an Ethiopian to rescue him. Jeremiah was promised protection by a loving God and God delivers again! The class ended with a short video outline of the book of Jeremiah.
