Teach

Show me Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

Week 2 Day 3 in Jeremiah. Consequences of chasing idols, the counterfeit substitution for Almighty God. There is no substitute. Religion is not a substitute. Walking away from the Lord? The outcome of chasing after the worthless things of this realm? Loss! Peace. Joy. Contentment. Loss! The Father loves us and will not allow us to stray. He will correct His children and the correction may be severe. Put away the idols.

Imitate

Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.

Third John chapter 1 verse 11.

Jesus

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth,
and of those under the earth,
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians chapter 2 verses 9-11

Trap

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. “Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap;

Luke chapter 21 verses 33-34

Expectation

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”

Romans chapter 8 verses 18-19

Fight

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

First Timothy chapter 6 verse 12

Uphold

Concerning the works of men, By the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. Uphold my steps in Your paths, That my footsteps may not slip.

Psalm 17 verses 4 and 5.

Week 2 Day 2 in the Jeremiah study. Spotting the fake. Fake gods and all of the fakes of this world. The LORD warns us not to forsake the fountain of living waters. It is wise to abandon the cracked pots. Jesus, the Word of God, is living water. In Him, we will never thirst again.
