Creekside Bible Study – 5PM

Jeremiah study 3-5. Asking respectful, meaningful questions of the Lord is important. But, listening for His response mostly through His Word is essential. How is my prayer life? Daniel, when warned by edict not to pray, prayed morning, noon and night. The Lord protected him from the consequences. There are unseen forces fighting answers to prayer. But, we need to keep on praying anyway.

Reap

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians chapter 6 verse 9

Teach

Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem

Micah chapter 4 verse 2

Fourth

Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

Daniel chapter 7 verse 23

Feeds

As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.

John chapter 6 verse 57

Hope

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.

Jeremiah chapter 17 verses 7-8

Rejoice

Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines;  Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls—Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Habakkuk chapter 3 verses 17-18

Humbly

He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God

Micah chapter 6 verse 8

Creekside Bible Study—5 p.m.

Section 3-4 in our Jeremiah studies. Today, we learned three elements of the trustworthy voice in a world filled with the untrustworthy. The person delivering the message should be morally straight. The message must be verified by the Word of God. We must seek to ask the right questions. The media and other voices are everywhere. Are we feeding on straw or grain?
